I totally understand you guys problem with tight assed i.t. nerds, but you see, there is a way around that, if you turn em OFF!

My additude sucks cause I wont change my ways to bend to your needs. If there was no way around it I would have no problem with changin it, but there is a simple way around, YOU CAN TURN EM OFF!!

Again, even if I do take the mommas off, it is not problem solved, cause no one screens the avatars for NSFW material.

So like I said I am not the solution to your problem, I am sorry you even have to deal with it..hopefully whacking some balls will either get your anger out, or you'll then have your bad golf game to bitch about other than some easily solved problem (all you have to do is go into user cp and click on a little box)

HIS problem? It wasn't HIS problem until someone else made it HIS problem. There was no problem a week ago. You never heard Buzz complaining about avatars did you? Even if they admit to "slacking," one person's definition may not be the same as someone else's. You say he should turn them off. Others say don't post NSFW avatars. Personally, I could care less what the avatars look like, but a little respect towards fellow Maggots goes a long way. Buzz PMed me about two weeks ago asking me to change it, I told him then that if he is scared, you can turn em off.

They are not even NSFW, no nipple.

BUT--this is not even the problem, the problem is that ANYONE AT ANYTIME can post a NSFW avatar, and this is a real scary thing.

Yeah, I don't see much of a problem with your avatar. I know you've had it for a long time. And you're right about the NSFW avatars that people could possibly post. But even though anyone could do just about anything they'd like, they don't because every single one of us knows that there's a line that just shouldn't be crossed. SanJuan crossed the line (though, I have to admit I laughed), was yelled at, and jumped back across. In other words, the Maggots are the screeners. Just because anyone can post a NSFW avatar, doesn't mean they should or will. Since we're all Maggots, the problem is really everyone's, not just those asking for a little more decorum.

It's summer and it's freakin' hot out right now, and a lot of people (including myself) are ready to pop. There's traffic, there's smog, there's stress at work, and there's no snow - all of it equals everyone's panties getting all in a bunch. Can't we all just get along? I'm taking a nap.

That really doesn't matter. As long as it's an image with sexual connotations, it can be construed by the more puritanical as NSFW.

I have no idea what your avatar looks like, as I turned off my avatar option a while back because it was getting too blue here for some of my more uptight coworkers. I miss seeing them. I liked being able to scroll through a longer thread and being able to zero in on someone's post based on thier avatar. I rate this thread 2 stars. It's not totally amusing but it brings up a good point.

Personally I think that people have the right to have a nudie avatar if they want. But if only one person had a naughty one then I think they should remove it instead of forcing everyone to turn them off. Since more then a fair share have naughty ones i'm not sure if they should turn them off or not.

Steep, they have been off since I saw a few others, before the debate. Problem is solved on my end. I am no dummy, I was simply arguing my point, that is all. Good confict can help people sometimes, showing someone a different view. I am not angry, was not angry and was simply debating with you.
