    Griffey

Talk about a career gone bad. Hard to believe he was once the 'greatest living player.' I can't think of any other athlete who had so much potential and then squandered it on injuries (except for maybe Tyrone ), can you?

    Bo Jackson's a close second.

Griffey could have been one of the greatest players ever. He'll still make it into the Hall of Fame, though.

    Talking

So who is it? Tyrone Shoelaces or Bo Jackson? Maybe it's too close to call.

Isn't this a record for the deepest into a season Griffey has gone without seriously hurting himself. He is still on of the greatest players currently playing (currently until the other day that is) and will surely be in the HOF.

It was sort of a joke in my Fantasy League about how deep into the draft we would have to go before a gimpy Griffey was more valuable than any other healthy player.

He was playing o.k. Nothing great, that's for sure. His average stands at a paltry .253, but with a .351 on-base and a .513 slugging, which are both decent.

Amazing how far he's fallen, though. From 1996-2000 he had seasons of 49, 56, 56, 48, and 40 home runs. Everyone was predicting he'd beat Hank Aaron's home run record. Since then he's had 22, 8, 13, 20.
