Telluride Jazz TR

What an event. This is one of the chillest, most relaxing and at the same time eventful festivals I have ever been to. My good friend puts a lot of efort into organizng the event, and I volunteer to help out and was basically a stage hand. This is a really cool way to experience the festival of course.

Anyways, my main duty was setting up the stage in town park. This is the scene before things got going.



Medeski Martin and Wood was the main stage act I enjoyed most.



Of course I actually missed much of the day time music, because I was too busy taking in some of the epic riding telluride has to offer.



Telluride Jazz is actually all about the night shows for me. The town park is cool, and very straight ahead, but the night time shows are alot more edgy and rocking.

County Road X from boulder played a very intimate and relaxing set that had a very dark and textured sound. a perfect atmosphere and cool venue.





The event was highlighted by two latenight perfomances by Critters Buggin and Marco Benevento and Joe Russo duo. These guys are incredible live act. These guys throw down break beats with screaming sax, heavy organ and melodic and synchopated vibes.

All in all it was an exhausting weekend and an amazing time. I'd recommend this festival to any maggot since there sure to love music, mountains and good people. this is my third time working for the festival and i will likely do it agian next year. its a great time.
