    Summer in Seattle

It's freaking hot. 94 degrees here in Woodinville and the breezes are far and few between. All I want is to be able to wear sweaters and see my breath in the morning. It's not all bad though: hot dogs and fruit smoothies for dinner! Whoo hoo.

I'm driving to Seattle in the next hour or so and my car's A/C isn't really working and I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR IT WAS 94. But really, it's ok. I got my POWDER today and my screen saver shows cold mountains. I'm going to visualize COLD!
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

Hah. With the ocean breezes, it's only going to get to 78 here today.

I'm enjoying this weather. Go swim or something if you get hot. Winter can wait.

Actually I woke up cold this morning. I kept the window open and it was under 60 outside when I woke up. Just be thankful we don't live in a place that doesn't cool down at night. Now that's miserable. But, of course, people that live in places like that usually have AC.

The Heat here in Seattle doesn't bother me. Wakeboarding keeps me sane.

Beautiful lakes and warm weather can't be beat.

    God's truth!

Edit: perpetually broken boats = suck (especially when yours AND your friend's are at the same shop for the same effing reason).

Seattle should be cooler today, only around 85. But, this morning was very misty... days are getting shorter... a sure sign that fall is on the way.

It feels much cooler today. Part of why I've been so hot is that our new house didn't come with any window coverings. Basically it just bakes all day, and the only hope for cool air coming in is when the sun goes down. Luckily, my parents are on the lake - fully equipped with ski boat and jet ski.

Here it's 53 degrees and rainy. Feels like fall, which would mean winter is close. I think I'll get depressed when the temp goes back to normal and winter again will feel out of reach.

I know it's anathema around these parts to say such a thing, but I do like summer. It's tough to swim outdoors in these parts in winter--without a drysuit, anyway.

Tropical depression here. Soon to be a damned tropical storm and maybe even a hurricane.

Freakish summer weather patterns suck. It's gonna feel like Seattle with rain for days, except 20 degrees warmer and about 5 times the total rainfall.

AD, I agree fully about your comment about enjoying the summer while it's here. I just didn't want to say it on the board for fear of being stoned (with rocks, not pot)

What's the rush for winter anway? (okay...stone Me!!)

It's almost the middle of August, which means it's basically September, and once October hits, it's fucking on.

I've been marking red x's in my mental calendar for weeks.

    October!!!

Time to set http://www.nwac.noaa.gov/ as home page and begin monitoring the freezing level again!
