    183 or 193 Head im 103?

The iggy thing might not work out becuase they aren't making many skis this year and I doubt that I am very far up on their importace/hook up list. I'm thinking about som Im 103's now, has anyone skied them? I'm 6' around 190-200lbs and i'm on 195 ak rockets right now which are fine for me now, is the 193 too big? Just wondering how they skied compared to some others

Last year I swallowed my pride and got the rossi B3's in the 185 instead of the 195 (my1st inclination), reasoning that most of my skiing is in CO, Alta, and Jackson, which all have tight trees, etc. - IMHO, that was the right call since I can absolutely turn those things on a dime with hardly any effort - I never felt like they were overmatched by terrain or speed (i.e. Cody Peak and No Name at Jackson). If I sked 100+ days a year, however, maybe I'd go bigger. If you ski 50ish days a year, get the 85's and you'll have more fun. Good luck! Oh, I am 6'1'' and 185 for basis of comparison.

I just picked up a pair in a 183. I'm 5'10", 150 lbs, but they are super stiff, I've heard they're always more fun that explosives though.

Or, you'll be miserable and mostly out of control becuase you can't get your ass out of the backseat and set yourself up for a nice knee injury.

The monsters are totally different skis from AK Rockets. You'll be going from one of the softest skis in the world to one of the stiffest.

Actually I wouldn't be going from the softest to the stiffest ski in the world, because I have the race room ak rockets(the ones with hexagonal tips) that are actually quite stiff, and are a real bitch at slow speeds. The jackson local inside of me wants to get the 193's but the colorado resident that actually is me is saying get the 183's and stop worring about it. My only issue is that I used to have some 180 explosives(which aren't that much skinner or softer) and I over powerd them in runouts and at high speeds(like vail back bowels on a nice crudy day), that and they shatterd my manlyness everytime I walked up to them and they were quite shorter than me what to do what to do

I checked some out today and the mount point on the 103's is really far back, so essentially they should ski bigger than they are, when lined up with the boot mark of the 195 Ak Rockets they 103, in a 183cm length are only about 1cm shorter in the tip length, but are a lot shorter in the tail lenght but the tail of the ski is super duper stiff so theoretically it is strong so it wouldn't matter, I don't know I'm just babbeling now, and I spell well too.

One thing to remember with your explosives, unless they're this years is the twin tip, while not huge, it made them ski a little shorter than the 180, the monster has a flat tail so it's a true 183. I got the 183, but you're a lot bigger than I am so maybe the 193, that's a tough choice. If it makes you feel better, I don't have the same dilemma, I just might suck anyway since I got them and am in the process of mounting a beefy telebinding on them with tele-race boots weighing in at a big 150. We'll see.

It actually is a lot bigger in the waist, 103 compared to 95. Tip and tail are 6 mm bigger so it does have some girth to it compared to the ex, that is this years measurements though.
