Here's one I took on Galiano Island last weekend. It was a rainy, foggy day that made for a pretty eerie atmosphere.

Road trip to the southwest coming up soon. Been practising shooting hand held panos. These are roughly 12,000-16,000 x 2500 in size and are heavily compressed. Any tips for panoramas are much appreciated.

First day out after having shoulder surgery

this combined with the last day to run Ohiopyle Falls meant I have lots of subjects to shoot

I have a bunch but I will limit it to 3. I will put the rest in the kayak forum i suppose.

    Kicking it retro old school

    and real old school/carnage

Though this was my favorite and managed an almost perfect exposure with minimal tweaking

There way several accurate and complicated (e.g. setting custom white balance on a G2V star). In the absence of such complicated methods, the recommended setting is to use the daylight white balance. Also, during processing, I change the white balance in two ways: first setting the white point so that the core of a bright star is 255, 255, 255. Secondly, I change the grey point using levels to bring the image to what it should look like (googling visible light images of the target).

I tried to keep this image of Orion close to the greenish-blue + red/violet hue of the real Orion in visible light.
