Thanks! I've been after this shot for a while and finally have the gear to pull it off. The winds were blowing pretty hard up high 50-60mph so the clouds were moving fast. The IS on the lens is coming in handy in cases like this. However, a steadier shot on a tripod would have made everything cleaner.

And cool kid pic. Mine are going to get out this weekend if it warms up a bit.

Finally saw just the tip of Hood out my office window after a couple weeks of clouds and rain. Missed the MPC by one day on this pseudo-alpenglow. Went from super foggy to super clear in a day.

I haven't had a chance to play with my camera much recently. The few shots I get are of the little man. Sometimes I'll bore you with those.

I've been out skiing but lift-riding on a 30-inch base doesn't lend itself to rad photography. So, today with lifts on wind hold and the dude at childcare, I took the dogs down to the beach and shot some of the same stuff I've posted before. Sometimes I need that. I've also never done a legit, stitched panorama. So I tried one today. This is 9 frames, portrait orientation. A few things to learn still but I'm happy with a first pano. Should print really clean at 5 feet x 2 feet. I'm sure I could stretch it 6'+ and feel pretty good. Of course, this one won't get printed thanks to the dog shaking off on the rock bottom right.

Yeah, was in P mode, continuous with AF off. Wanted to see how it did with AF off, since it shoots a bit faster in raw, didn't have a chance to test with it on. I need to learn more about the manual settings. Read a little and I think I'll start playing around with Av mode, you can change aperture settings by using the control knob on the front of the camera that surrounds the lense.
