^^^ so much snow floating in the air ^^^

I dig it. I dig the dudes standing on the top of the summit. It looks wind loaded, not to mention the convexity…

    Thanks man,

Yah.. it's a big, windloaded convexity. But maritime snow holds to faces pretty well

I can't tell if yours is of a playa or a snow scoured lake?

Definitely don't want to give the impression of arm-chair-avy-forecastin'… It's a sick ass feature for a photog to use and terrific snow for a photog and skier. Please tell me your holding back the powder-cloud shot with someone dropping into the off-camber chute dropping lookers right bottom (left of) center…

Mine is a frozen lake with 6 inches of snow on it. It's a shot from back in December. I'm putting together some shots for a show and re-processing/looking through old files as I curate it…

    A monotone version…

and a (probably) previously posted, very similar vantage point when it's a lake and not a frozen wasteland…

It's what an insurance agent would call an attractive nuisance (center right side of picture). It's pretty amazing that there are not more fatalities here, as the whole Shuksan Arm is within reach in a very short walk, and people ski it with flagrant disregard for the conditions

I like the monotone version. I think the slight purplish/greenish color vignette looks better as a plain b/w vignette

Wondering what you guys think of this post processing on the rider/snowcloud? I wasn't planning to take a photo like this, but I have a couple ideas for things this close looking across slope on untracked slopes with good backgrounds

I like to ski and take photos so my camera is tucked inside my jacket ready to go. When I see something worth shooting I tell my buddies this is how to ski it, I pull my camera out and then we keep going. Hardly ads any time to skiing and I can get more shots than if I'm constantly pulling my camera out of my bag. Athletes like this because I'm faster than other photogs and I like it because I get to ski too.

    Oh yeah the lax game.

I want to go to school @ Brewster.

People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.
