    So, a thread drift here ... how does Willie go about actually trying to create value from that image, if he wanted to? New thread in Photo Video I guess? It's a damn good image - I haven't seen the full res but I'd hope that your RAW is sharp enough for enlargement?

    And that's an excellent question, Schralph, I wish I knew the answer because you are not the first person to say I should be getting paid for it. I just wish I knew how. I want to buy a good ballhead and some prime lenses and making this hobby pay would really help.

    Best I can do is hang it up in the coffee shop that's displaying some of my other pics and see what happens. I tried contacting local news agencies and offering it to them the morning after the storm and the only response I got was from a local weather man who requested a 2000 pixel wide copy for his desktop background, which I obliged. I had a 24x12" print made of the pano crop at Costco and it's plenty sharp. Could easily go to 30", no problem and if I had it done at a real photo lab it would look even better.

    What about stock photo services?

    Great stuff from everyone. I dropped a friend off at 6am in Grafton Notch so he do 40 mile trail run back to his car in Gorham NH. I was driving by Mtn Washington auto rd and this is what I found.
