We've lost 6. STOP IT NOW!!!

Come on, we have have to much of a good thing right now. You read the avy reports, your not dumb. Give the snow pack a chance to bond and settle out. You know its only going to get better and safer.

Please lets not lose any more of us. We all know that avalanches happen during and right after a storm. Avy victims generally are the cause of the slide. Always look for signs of instablity.

The snow we all love, can kill your ass dead. You can't out run a slide, they don't happen unexpected, the places we love to rip in, are the very places that slide.

This year the west has a snow pack that has that sugary shit laying on top of the ground, some November rain crust, heavy new snow loading, wind transported snow and or soft slabs hanging to get us. It can't handle the load of us too.

Give the snow some respect. It will let us have our day to rip. We just have to wait till it gets safe. If its don't happen this pow season, we will just have to carve up the corn.

PLEASE USE YOUR SNOW SENSE AND LIVE TO RIP WHEN YOUR OLD AND GRAY.

    1) Fuck that nonsense. For those unfortunate souls that died inbounds, under patrol avy control, they are innocents.
Are seriously telling us to stop skiing in storms?
    to stop skiing pow inbounds?
    Get real.

    2) For the snowmobilers highmarking with no avy gear, that is just Darwinism.

    3) For those skiers and riders we lost in the backcountry on uncontrolled slopes, your advice is wise, and yes we should ski smart and live to ski another day.
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

I took it as #3, which I strongly agree with, figuring the 6 was backcountry related accidents. Wherever you go, error on the side of caution.

Turns out skiing is a potentially very dangerous sport. Even at resorts. Who woulda thunk it?

CS this post is obviously about backcountry riders, not in-bounds bullshit.

I'm sticking to low angle until this calms down. I'm deathly scared of avys right now (well I always am, but lately it's been insane)

It's just begun! I hope many re-evaluate the conditions. Be safe out there.
