    song i gotta know

    As an uncultred teen i dont knwo many old songs. But i heard one on a classic hits/rock station that was wicked good. Mabey somebody can help me out, ill piece together all the phrases i remember. THe guy almost sounded like reggae.

    I saw Joe in the late 80's in downtown Detroit. It was during one of the last F1 races in Detroit. The concert was free and attracted every bum in town. One older bum in particular kept returning to our little spot on the lawn, evidently he was quick to pick up on the best spot for empty beer cans. After his third or fourth visit I offered to smoke him out. He smoked down with us and sat for a while. Pretty normal person, crippled by circumstances.

    Anyways, Joe put on a pretty good show. Of course he played that song.
