look there are and have been many "UT minis" that happen before during & after the officially procalimed one that brings so many. every time a mag surfs my futon or drives in for a day or two or asks me for change @ Solitude or Alta is a mini to me. AH - Boohoo, you sorry pansy. Sack up and get it on with the rest of us! Actually, it sounds like you'll be getting in a whole lot of skiing this winter. If you get in as much sking as it sounds like you will, we'll almost certainly be struggling to keep up with you.

So, do you think you are going to make it out for the Mini? What about the Jackson Hole Summit? I think you should. It would be awefully cool to make some more turns with you!

What is your vote Uber? I had a freaking blast with you, Teledave, friend, Dodger, GT and Meats at Basin.

This is why I bumped it, I want to set a date in the next 2-3 weeks.

I cant make the summit. I am going to plan the MINI. So I need to be and, dare I say it, ski at the MINI. Hopefully my first time at Alta during said event.

Just set the date Buzz, you and AC are the organizers so its really up to the both of you. March is going to be very busy for you. I voted in the poll for late March, but you can transfer that vote to the December line.

Ok, that is what I am thinking too, December. TD's flight is super cheap, lets try to keep this trend going so some or all of you can get to Jackson too.

Very nice Buzz and AC! My vote for December dates is either the 14th-18th or 15-19th. How about a 5 day Mini this year instead of 4, an extra day of skiing never hurt anyone. I'm stoked on those dates. If you need any help with planning or anything along those lines, I'll be more than happy to do what I can; just drop me a PM.

I may go, but it will be for a 3-day weekend only, and I'll be flying in/out. I'll most likely go, whatever weekend it turns out to be. I'll most definitely probably go if it's December 17-19th. Thanks for organizing Altachic, Buzz.

SW was filling up, so trgger pulled!

I'll be in skiing in UT 12/16-19! (Arr: 12/15 late, Dept: 12/20 early) Even if that's not the official dates there will be a mini in UT that weekend.

I am offically prosposing Dec 15-20. 15th is a Wednesday, 20th a Monday. People can fly in when ever, get a good dose of Utah snow and be out Sunday or Monday.

I personally will be looking at Friday, Sat, Sun and maybe Monday. The 3 days may be all the wallet has.

Figure the Give Away at GMD again on Friday apres ski.

Need to talk to AC still (thanks for calling last night ).

I am/will be working with Powder, TGR, PM Gear for some schwaaggg to promote and give away.

I have wondered about stickers again. Last time I had the dough to put up front, this time, I will not be able to front the whole thing. I am not sure the attendance for this year either. Do we want to pursue this and are YOU willing to throw down for me to get em done.

Mountain schedule??? We have Alta, Snowbird, Solitude and Snowbasin that I think are the best venues for all. Personally, I would like to hit Alta on my new skis coming, Solitude one day and Snowbasin one day.

Now there is the Canyons and PCMR in Park City and also Powder Mountain in Ogden area and Brighton up BCC.

I think the mountain schedule will come at a later time, as it will be snow dependent on who has the most pow pow.

Separtate thread on attendees or thinking about it up in a moment.

christ... I can't believe that I plan on living in UT by then and I still have to fly IN for the mini!!

I'll be in Chicago for a conference Dec. 13-16th, but the weekend works for me may even have some web geek/rippin skier friends in tow though.

edit to add: ya, buzz.. i'll see what I can do swag wise over the next few months too - and try to help with the planning once I get out there. right now, that's my first priority.

Buzz - that Sunday at Basin last year was one of the best days on snow I've ever had. The snow was excellent, although I've had better. Honestly, what set that day over the edge was the people. I'm a bit weepy thinking about it all right now... AH's slammin' burn on me still stings to this day... [/sappy crap]

I don't care when it occurs. There's one weekend in January that I can't go on, but that date hasn't been set yet. Other then that, I am certainly there!

Does this announcement warrent it's own thread? Me thinks so...

I'd like to cast a vote for Snowbasin on the weekend, since that place was absolutely empty last year on the weekend. That worked out really well.

As for the give away, I could supply some old 190 Kastle slalom skis that are about 20 years old and are bent, as well as a pair of ski socks that are sitting in the corner of my closet that haven't been washed in a few years - your choice!
