Utah Mini Preliminary Date Planning

OK, I thought that with all the posting goin on around here and with the recent release of the BroModels, now would be a good time to get some beta about when people think this year's Utah Mini Summit should be. Obviously it's still a long way off, but it never hurts to at least find out when people think it might work for them.

BTW, air fares from Philly and any NYC airport are pretty damn good to SLC, even nonstops. With that in mind, here is the first of what I'm sure will be a series of mindless/pointless posts and polls about the upcoming Utah Mini. Vote Away!

Edit: February was excluded from the poll because of Obvious scheduling conflicts with the Jackson Hole Summit.

Not when Buzz's first child is born.

That is ok, the Jackson summit will be about over as our family grows to 3.

You DO NOT WANT JANURARY! Normally that is the month with the least snowfall in Utah, March would be perfect, December could be good, but could be a bust with a late season start.

March shouldn't even be an option out of respect to buzz. The guy has planned the last two and got the thing started and will likely be a big part in planning again. Seems to be a crime to have him plan without being able to attend.

Also, the mini should be as the season is getting warmed up and an appetizer to the jackson one.

Not normally, just lately. The last two have sucked. March was real similar to january-- ie. storms at the beginning and end of the month with nothing in between. December is your best bet if feb. is out.

i agree that Buzz should be able to get in on the Mini - i personally don't care when it is - I should be out there, the only conflicts I'd have are with possible conferences.

but I'd also volunteer a few hours babysitting time so you and Mrs. Buzz can get some quality Pow time together

i haven't really said anything about dates, but i think sometime in Dec or last 3 weeks in march would be best.

I'm in favor of the 3rd week of December or thereabouts. If it works out for that week, I am more than willing to help as much with the planning and organization as is possible for a 15 year old to do. I consider it volunteering for a good cause; hell, I might even put in on a college app as community service when the time comes.

werd to the monkey,

look there are and have been many "UT minis" that happen before during & after the officially procalimed one that brings so many. every time a mag surfs my futon or drives in for a day or two or asks me for change @ Solitude or Alta is a mini to me. What makes "the " mini so special is the large group & honestly, Buzz. even when his crippled ass could not ride he helped plan the thing. No one has stepped up to help plan any thing else & the opnly other planner, altachic, likes the Dec. dates. i know of a few other mags who will be out round the Dec. dates too. so seriously come to UT & play whenever you can make it but lets try & keep this Buzz thang when Buzz can buzz it, capish?!?
