potential places to crash west of the tunnel could be a good possibility this year.

Im thinking of renting out a studio or 1 bedroom as a community hangout where everyone can contribute some $ each time they stay to keep a front range ski commune alive.

Its basically going to be a warm hole for us to throw our sleeping bags down on. Anyone else interested? Probably will try to find a place in frisco or dillon when the cold starts coming...octoberish

If there arent enough interested I will probably just rent out a really tiny room somewhere around there so I dont have to drive home if I dont want to.
Lots of possibilities for this upcoming season, but I like your idea. I've been a part of some type of ski rental the past three seasons and frankly, I think it'd be tough to live without it. Your money is well spent by not having to sit in traffic, not to mention gas, etc.

    Keep me posted.

YES; - interested in the crash pad idea. I have also rented a small room the past two seasons but would be into getting a pad. Summit Cove, Dilverthorne area.
    I think I'm going mad.

blurred...where is your condo? Like I said, I'll be out there in Sept looking for a marketing job and if everything works out (i.e. I get a job) I'll need residence. May be interested...for real.

Hold off on on your pad idea Evil...

Mayor-I live here in my condo and was kinda joking with Evil.

I just talked to Lonestar, and he would be willing to move to Summit County without even looking at the accomodations if the price was right. Telekoptero is also moving up here. I can find you guys some cheap digs up here, if you're serious, let me know. The CO crew up here will be skiing everyday this winter, and alot of those days will be in the BC with 'biles, it's gonna rock.

I've got a beef with you front range Maggots

My town Takayama is a sister city with Denver so the city takes most of it's English teachers from the Denver area.

So out of 4 teachers last year and 3 new ones this year only 1 of them knows how to ski and is pretty good.

My beef - Japan is so good for skiing so why does nobody good from the Denver area come to live here?

    And IT Was Good!!!

    Greetings & Salutations Brethren,
It's good to see postings from so many like minded folks.Let us please take a moment to pay homage to ULLR,that he may bestow upon the faithful, some much needed snow in this previously precipitationally challenged state.Oh what hard times are these when passing storms can say "NI" at will to Colorado. There's a pestilance upon the land.Even those who arrange & design fresh tracks are in extreme philosophical distress in this period of history!
What are the latest thoughts on the Bromodel skis? They certainly sound tempting even though I'm not enamoured with the top sheet(baby blue ain't my style).I've been skiing a 190cm Atomic Powder Ride that I absolutely love, but their days are numbered as they suffer from Atomic's infamous sidewall delaming problems.Ciao fellow troughers!

education? I have a BS in marketing.

employment history? a few years in retail, a few years in sales post college, and now a few years in publishing/circulation.

I'm looking for a real Marketing job, but I'm open to suggestions.

    Thumbs up

Good to see CO maggots making some plans. Count me in on the skiing for sure.

Is there gonna be a home mountain? Meeting time?

I'm panning on the 5-mountain pass. I guess where to go is always conditions based. I doubt I'll see much if any time at Keystone. Maybe a few days at Breck. I'll blow all 10 days at Vail and the rest will probably be spent at A-basin.

Other trips to Bert and Mary Jane. And lots of UTAH.

I'll have the 5 mtn pass plus the copper pass. Avg. days at Copper with the pow days at B. Creek until later then most days at 'Basin.

resort-wise, I plan to ski primarily within:

    bert
    mj
    a-basin
    loveland

    secondarily:

    vail/backcountry
    aspen highlands

and will be prone to making mad dashes to any of the following on the basis of dumpage:

    alta
    snowbasin
    kirkwood
    alpine meadows
    silverton
    jackson
    targhee
    bachelor
    crystal

I'd also like to get back to or explore if time/money permits:

    wolf creek
    taos
    monarch
    telluride
    big sky
    bridger
    whitewater
    banff

and finally, someday I'm going to get around to hitting Cham and Whistler/Black.

Then of course there's the summer months, which include PacNW volcano touring, South American insanity, and Colorado chuting.

oh, wait, what? You were just asking about where we were gonna try to meet up some this next season, huh? Sorry, got carried away.

I'm with the monkey, its all about the pow. Aside from that, I have a strong hatred for Keystone, Copper, and Vail, and won't meet you in those places with any regularity, but I'll go anywhere else. Bert is damned close for me and free...I could forsee a lot of eeearly workday mornings up there.
