I think I'm going mad.
Hey I never said I was hot for Tipper's nips. Just reporting in. I prefer the lil nugget types over the silver dollars. They were impressive, however..

#3: Conditions permitting, climb the Owen Spalding
on the Grand and ski from 13k to 7k.
#4: Rest day for the old man.
I like trackhead's idea.
I think that there will be enough folks that people with similar ideas will wind up grouping together anyway and doing their thing.
but it is exciting planning and thinking about skiing 6 months away...
FUCK YES!

Si senor, made my second wopper of a payment on her today, $1200 more to go and it will be sitting in my backyard (my buddy is letting me stretch the payments out over the summer). I'm definitely a novice when it comes to snowmobiling, primarily been pulled behind them never actually did the towing or much driving. But as soon as snow falls I will become a master of track.Freak,

Powderhound - Lost Trail (http://www.losttrail.com/) ain't exactly close, but it depends on which way you are coming from. From the mapquest, it shows 360 miles which is closer than i thought. You'd be better off driving the 3.5 hours to Bridger![]()

- Don’t forget Disco Night at the Stagecoach Bar on Thursday (bring your wig).
- Horse Creek Station is WAY better than Bubba’s.
- The Town Meeting at the Rancher on Tuesdays has $1 drafts, but that’s Mardi Gras.
- The in-town trifecta of The Rancher-Million Dollar Cowboy-Log Cabin is always a big hit.
- There are, I believe, 11 drinking establishments in Teton Village alone.
- High Mountain Heli skiing is always an option.
- There are many snowmobiling options and I would recommend against going in Yellowstone. There are speed limits and you’re sucking exhaust fumes most of the time. If you really want to see Yellowstone a snow coach might be a better option.
- For just snowmobiling and/or snow machine accessed skiing Togwotee Pass might be the best option.
uh..really? Besides MM there is the ?..and the ?11 drinking establishments in Teton Village alone.
Just curious...didn't think there was anywhere else to go...or maybe nobody else went/heard of the other 10 joints.
I have mastered all major sporting activities to a high degree of mediocrity.

I know of a restaraunt called vertical..........It has a bar
Buy nice things here.

I'm going to second the suggestion of the Disco night at the Coach! Great time.
The brew pub in town is pretty cool as well.
There probably are 11 drinking establishments in the Village, but most are way out of our price range (what used to be the Pub at the Soj is now some hoity-toity bar, 4Seasons, etc)
MM and (brain fart, can't think of the name) the joint next to Wildi / Tram dock are really the only 2 I know of that we would need to frequent.
Everyone is truly going to dig the accesible BC especially if guided by the boys. Granite, No Name, Once, Twice.
Damn, brings back great memories!!!

Feb 5. Find ride to Hostel X (from airport) and sleep.
Feb 6-12: get up, shower, stretch, ski JHMR (too noob to go BC, especially with friends in tow) allll day--hucks, hits, straightlines, face shots,etc.--, go to Hostel X, stretch, find a maggot for random entertainment, go to sleep about 10 pm. Sober entire trip.
Feb 13: Find ride to airport and fly home.
Pretty good, I think...
Days on snow 06-07: 3
Days behind a boat summer 2006: 24

This thread has become debatably NSFW. I was writting my reply and happened to scroll past the bong as a coworker walked by, then the next thing that pops up is the Naked twister as someone else walks behind me.
Doh!

There are no "naughty bits" in the naked twister pix...
I would like to do some nice backcountry stuff during the summit, with maybe a large kicker here and there, hmm?![]()
Wrecker of dreams.
Well since the board is so active today, which is making me so psyched to ski - the Hostelx reservation has been made for 2/6 to 2/12. Got a room for four, and will work on filling it this fall. Next up - frequent flyer mile redemption.

1. Mangy Moose – Good après ski, good at night
2. Vertical – Good quite après ski
3. Cascade – Good quite après ski
4. Village Café – Good spring après ski
5. Nick Wilson’s – JHMR base lodge. I didn’t say they were all good but you can get a beer there
6. Alpenhof – hoity-toity as Comish put it.
7. Snake River Lodge and Spa – see #6
8. 4 Seasons – see #6
9. Teton Club– see #6
OK so I can only think of 9 and a few aren’t worth going to. But on a pub crawl you can throw down a lot of drinks before you leave the village.
4 Seasons is like $10 for a G&T. Although the chick playing piano was hot.Originally posted by StormRider

So, I second the notions for JHMR days, at least one at Targhee, and some fun in the b/c.
Trackhead, your idea for the Grand is incredibly appealing as well -weather permitting, COUNT ME IN!
And yes, it is great to be thinking about skiing 6 months ahead of time - I'll be there, truck and camping gear in tow, and probably throwing in some MT days as well . . .

It's sad, but just yesterday, it finally sunk in that I'll be spending a week in Jackson Hole. I got ALL stupid and psyched out while driving home from work! Must 'ev looked like a madman, with my punching of holes in the roof of the car... It just can't come soon enough!
if anyone is seriously considering spending a day or two at big sky i could talk to the hotel manager about getting some discount rooms for the maggots. i know i get discount rooms for working at the resort, but i just don't know how many. let me know if anyone is interested![]()
Maybe some of you should think about flying out of bozeman, i bet the bozeman crew would show you around Big Sky on our way home.
I also think a day of sled assisted bc on togwotee pass is a spectacular idea!

Yup, anybody that needs a place to stay in Bozeman is welcome at mine.

Would you guys please STFU??!! Reading this fucking thread has given me a ski jones that is torture!
I'm having thoughts of arriving with many friends, meeting many more, skiing sweet lines with tons of friends and maggots, building BC booters, biling, drinking and roadtripping...does it get any better than this? DAMN. COUNT ME IN.
