    Freeride brake question

Am I going to be able to bend out the standard freeride brakes to fit a 95 mm wide ski (Volkl CMH).

Should I just splay out the two legs or can I try to straighten (with a little heat?) and completely rebend?

The brakes on the freerides bend real easily. You shouldnt have any problem just bending them out a bit. Use a small diameter piece of pvc tubing/broken ski pole and slip it over the end of the brake, and go to town on them.

cd is right - or if you are lazy you can order wide brakes that backcountry.com has in stock for $40.

Be careful when bending too much because sometimes it will fuck up how they ride when you are stepped in. First pair of brakes i had the shop bent and they stuck out and when edging hard they would hit the snow causing a nice little fall.
