Please tell me this was a Powder/TGR troll

So I'm in barnes n' noble this afternoon and I pick up Ski magazine and start leafing through it first off Bogner has nothing to do with why I ski but whatever..........

In the Letters to the editor section I read the following
some like 'em short Are you ever going to do a story on skiboards? My wife and I bought some several years ago. We only get to ski about a week per year, and they've made it easier then ever to enjoy a day on the slopes and be confident in our abilities. They turn on a dime, stop fast, don't weight much on a slow lift and you can't cross your tips. It makes skiing fun again for us, rather then feeling like work. I've EVEN heard instructors talk about how easy it is to learn on them. I would think the ski industry would embrace something that would make you want to return year after year and spend a week(and some serious money) skiing.

To which I e-mailed ski magazine(not that it will ever get published)

    Mr Terry,
Please stop, you are killing skiings soul, you and the rest of your snowlerblading friends don't seem to realize that there are some of us that value a long slow chair, and the work(if you can call skiing work) that it took to get to the level of skier that we are at, this coupled with the incessent grooming of terrain to make up for the fact that snowlerblades can't hack it in moguls, powder, and crud is giving us a generation of limited skiers. Sure they can ski when its sunny and courderoy, but the truest test of a skier is to be versitile enought to ski whatever the mountain serves up that day.

Yes just what we need. An easier way for the unskilled to get down the blacks easier. We all really like the snow pushed down to the bottom. Makes for better snowball fights at the base lodge.

no shit man. our schools team goes up to the mtn 3 days a week regardless of the facking conditions. if its nice and sunny, well than thats great, and if its raining and slushy, well than thats great too. i think you learn the most when your challenged the most, so these people really shouldnt bail out just cuz the conditions suck. the only day i bailed out was an early season day and it had rained heavily the night before and everything had forzen up during the day, and then they tried to groom it so it was just little balls of loose ice on top of more ice. after about an hour i just said fuck it because it was no fun to ski on.

I've only seen a handful of people on snowlerblades ever, so I don't think we need to start worrying about them 'ruining it' for the rest of us.

Everyone's out there trying to have fun on the mountain. Can't we all just get along?

Because they are tracking up my lines out east(well the ones that aren't hidden) they sideslip all the powder out of the trees its unreal. I don't mind tracks in the powder because hey its the east and powder is sometimes in short supply I'll just set up to the right or left of the tracks and make my own line. Its the stupid skier/snowlerblader/snowboarder that sideslips the whole thing pushing all the powder that I can't stand

Agreed. It is definately an east coast phenom.

If one is honestly trying regular turns and pushes snow, then that is fine. But side slipping down the whole slope is BS.
