    What is the benefit of having a visor on the helmet? The Giro 9 has a version now with a visor for tree skiing and what not. I stay in the trees every chance I can get. Never had problem so far and I can see hitting branches with less vis because of a visor.

    I took mine off because I'm skiing and not riding a bike. They say it is to help reflect sun and keep branches from smacking you. it supposedly allows them to slid off easier. i don't use one and i've had no problems with either. imo ya don't need one unless you're the type of person that values look over function. you'd be suprised how many people do.

    They do help duck tree branches, but they're mostly style.

    wonder what happens when you take one to the goggles and it gets caught under the visor. at speed that might hurt.
