    Sierra Designs tents

Incase you were thinking of buying one.
I use them at work and about 80% leak through the seams in the fly in a moderate shower. In some cases there is water dripping trough the fly and into the tent (tent top is mesh) after only 30 min of rain. Some of these tents are new too.

Had the opposite experience with mine. I have a 7 year old SD Clip Flashlight tent (ultra lightweight). I've been in numerous torrential downpours and have always stayed high and dry.

Same here. The wife and I just got done with a month long car camping / backpacking trip from Colorado to the Beautfiful Mtns of Brtish Columbia and back. Had plenty of rain on the trip, and our 3 year old SD Omega held up like a champ!

Ditto with my clip flashlight CD. Better in rain/wind by a long shot than my Mt HW Light Wedge 2.

Ditto for my clip flashlight! However, not have a self supporting tent sucks ass in the rocky mountains. Just when you think you've found a rockfree staking position, a rock will appear under the dirt.

Also, just spent 12 days in a 3 man Sierra Designs expidition tent wit storm fly. Talk about cushy living. It rained every day. Some days it didn't stop. Some days it hailed. It never leaked (even on a corner seam where the main tent wasn't covered by the flies). It was self supporting too.

We have 5 sets of the Omega CDs at work and they have never had any leakage. A few years old, many trips, and still no problems with them. Try contacting SD to see if they can do anything.
