Aaaaarrrrmy training sir.
Ottime and I made arrangements to meet at Carson Pass @ 9:15 for a little maize and a little training. We ended up with WAAAAAY more training than corn. But that didn't matter, because it ended up being a powder day.
We walked about 1/2 mile before putting on the skins, since the PCT is making a recovery. After passing Winnemucca Lake, we realized it was gonna be a bit on the firm side.
THANK YOU TGR!!! (and P_McPoser)
Ottime on The White Ribbon of Life (on the Edge)
and again
and again
It was windy on the ridge tops, but 4th of July Lake was going crazy.
WTF is a rocket launcher doing here?
This is a look at Life on the Edge from top of Thimble Peak on Nov. 13th
This was Life on the Edge today. We stopped skiing at the red dot and then climbed down through rocks.
Then we mad our way over to Stove Pipe. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say West Shore is not ready yet.
Stove Pipe was a wee bit firm at the top. more
But then it got better. I told you it was a powder day.
This was a pretty line and ok snow.
Ottime forgot his camera, but I didn't want to disappoint the ladies. I would've gone for the full body shot, but the tall tee steeze combined with the Imam steeze would have been way to much too handle.
Making it back towards Carson Pass.
A look up at our original goal on the way out. it were firm with reverse tracks (nice ones) showing
Thanks to the guy that picked me up hitchhiking. I hope you got the job.
