Rock veteran Peter Frampton sues surf-wear maker

(AFP) - Veteran rocker Peter Frampton sued Australian surf-wear maker Billabong to stop it from marketing a bikini bearing his image and a phrase similar to one of his signature songs.

Frampton claims the bathing suit message 'Baby I Love Your Waves' is "an obvious reference" to his song "Baby, I Love Your Way."

His lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, states the bathing suit bears a screened image of his face and is called the "Frampton"
