    Mt. Hood Meadows Ski resort

    How crowded on a weekend.

Might have some business travel in Portland.

This year with the $400 season pass special, probably very.

If it's a good snow year, and the freezing levels low, don't underestimate mt. hood ski bowl. The outback has some nice terrain. Of course it doesn't have the "scene" of meadows.

The bowl has some good night skiing if your into that. It's closer & cheaper.

I skied Meadows a bunch last year. I was always amazed at how not crowded it was. Max time in a liftline was 5 minutes, usually 1 minute or ski up. Compared to the Intrawest resorts in Colorado that I skiied as a kid, I felt lonely.

If there's fresh pow-pow, Meadows will be crowded, even on a weekday. If there's no fresh snow, then it will be exactly as Platnium described.

Agree on Ski Bowl, best lift-served terrain on Mt Hood and most affordable: $32- all day, $20 night tickets.

Send us a PM when you're in town- a mini beer-fest will be in order.

I'll put in a third vote for Ski Bowl(depending on conditions). I only did Meadows on weekdays last year. Mondays were ok most of the time crowdwise, though it wes pretty tracked up for the most part with an exception of a couple dayz. They are real morons when it comes to opening the shit on the upper mountain...beware.

Unless it's a weekend. And your skiing heather. So you're waiting with 1/2 of portland at the bottom of shooting star.

If there's good snow this season, then there will be some days like this, especially in Jan/Feb. I haven't seen this much, however, and come March the wait at Shooting Star wil be negligible.
