    Any Brundage Locals out there??

I am heading to Brundage later this winter, and I've been doing a little recon to figure out where I should head. I couldn't really find anything, and I was hoping there would be some magz that could give me some advice.

In particular, I'm interested in the "future terrain" on the trail map. Is the ridge line easily traversed, and how difficult would it be to get back in bounds?

Does the ski patrol enforce the boundary?

Any recommended B/C zones to check out?

Any tips or photos would be really appreciated!

    PEACE

If you are talking about the trail behind the patrol shack headed towards sargeants that area is pretty self explanatory. The first little bit, upper hidden, has some nice cliffs and steep bits but it is very short til you hit the traverse trail. If you have clear vis just take the lower hidden valley trail all the way out and look around first. You can drop in farther out (fun but short) but it is easy to get stuck in the flats and have to put skins on. You are better off making the climb up to sarge then aim for the snowmobile trail that surrounds the area. Nice thing is its pretty hard to get really lost there because of the road. Worst case (if you head towards the reservoir) you end up on the trail with ~4 miles of skin. Nice half day if you add a few laps on the back of sarge.

For other bc you really need a sled for that area. If you have one, pm me and I will give you some other ideas. I used to ski and groom there but its been a few years, I know they are expanding so not sure if this is all still correct...

    Word!

That sounds great. I talked to another guy who also said sleds were necessary, so I'm going to look into maybe renting one for a day or two. If I figure something out, I'll definetely PM you to get the lowdown on where to head.

    Thanks for the advice!
