    Saw it last night, Sage is definately the man. Lots of style, and sounded down to earth. On another note, Jamie Pierre sounds like the biggest prick. It was nice watching him get this ass beat on the snowmobile.

    Saw it Saturday night in Burlington...general concensus among my crew (1 friend and a girlfriend who was only there 'cause we'd gone hiking during the day) was that, although it felt lacking in some regards, it made us want to ski and that was key.

    Highlights

    * That crazy-ass couloir they ski in Italy. That was truly sick (despite the fact that it didn't garner the hoots and hollers that some of the other shit did).
    * Candide's huge step-up. So smooth and stylie.
    * Nobis's straightline towards the end is insane.
    * Some sweet, attainable powder footage.
    * I've been away for a bit, so I was really impressed with the smoothness of the spins etc. being incorporated into big lines (though the boarders still land more cleanly).
    * The fact that it snowed on top of the mountain we hiked earlier in the day.
    * Billy Idol !!!

    Not so highlights

    * Jamie Pierre and the snowmobiler's attitudes. Perhaps it was just a pose and therefore a joke, but it was still lame and took away any respect I might've had for what they were doing.
    * Not enough Moats.
    * Editting and/or cohesion seemed a bit lacking. Personally, I like a little story to hold things together.
    * The ending seemed abrupt.
    * I didn't win anything.

    But, yeah, as stated in the first paragraph, brought the stoke up and made me want to hit the slopes, so it was a night well enjoyed.

    Sick and ashamed and happy (and could have saved myself some coin by not buying the first two issues of Powder (they had stacks of free copies in the Theatre)),
    d.
