Just in the past few weeks, after shaking my head as usual after seeing some of the stuff Ryan Leech does, I've started working on my "trials" skills on my ~daily ride to/from the gym. Someone on here pointed me to biketrials.com a while back, and I like their How-To section since it seems to follow a logical progression, starting off from the most basic. Which of course is where I started.
So I'm amazed at how much more control I feel like I have now on the bike, not just doing that stuff, but mtn biking too, even though I started and am still working on the lowly trackstand.
But moving on to the rear wheel pivot, I seem to be making progress, I can do say 3 hops and get about 90 degrees around, but I can't seem to get past that. At least now, I don't put a foot down, but I'm not balanced enough (I guess) to do another hop, instead I have to ride a few feet. Any advice? I suspect it may have something to do with my "economy of motion", which at this point is more along the WalMart, 1 gallon can of baked beans type of economy.
