Settle. They've already said it's a money-loser for them to do Blu Ray, not enough demand to cover the startup costs.

Right now the economics do not work. They are $9 a dvd, minimum run of 1,000. No action sports bluray dvd's have sold more than 250 units. On a positive note we have mastered and filmed the last 4 films in HD, so when the price comes down we will put them all out. hope that helps. There are other film companies out there that are going for it so I am sure we will get data from that that could help this decision one way or another.

So after all the talk in the pirating actionsports thread, have you looked into making UTI an HD download?

I want to see that RED footage in hd...

    Is it time YET?

Ok sorry to dig up a stale topic.. but this is more relevant then EVER. Is it time to get with the times yet and start releasing ski and boarding vids on blu??? Ask Mr. Rice... who had the cojones to get with current technology... blu ray is not going anywhere and the costs HAVE got to be going down to make this doable... please!!!!

I'll buy all 4 or 5 films in one shot of whatever you can release in blu ray.

UTI is one of my favorite ski flicks ever. Would buy a bluray version in a heartbeat.

Sorry gents, been in the 3D world for a while. Blue Ray is going to happen. The run will be pretty small on both, as demand is still not as high as you may think. We should be able to meet the demand though.
