In El Salvador, any solid reviews on Surf Hostels

I am in San Salvador and heading South to La Libertad on Monday. I have almost a month to hop from break to break through central. Any recommendations of Surf Hostels that I should not miss? Please shoot an email to

Not a surf hostel, but a really nice hotel (not too pricey) right on the point at Sunzal.....Casa Del Mar. Owner is Alfonso. cool guy. If they are booked and you stop by, you may be able to get a nice room for cheap. Walk right out the back and paddle to sunzal point.

I spent a week at Sunzal. Not the nice hotel - but the shady shacks below it on the point. Cool owner did the best he could to keep it up but it was shady. My now wife and I would have dinners up at the fancy place above it and adjourn to our shanty at night. You could not ask for a better mellow (sometimes too mellow) right point. so fun. no one ever out. awesome time.

I second the zunzal recommendation. I was in La Libertad, and it is sketchy, decent surfing, but sketchy. Zunzal was sweet, nobody in the water, just surf and hang out and drink beer.
