So - yesterday I'm riding one of my local favorite trails, and my house mate and I run into a couple of friends - one of whom asks "hey - how do you like those tires?". I respond - "I don't - they suck. I wash on out too much". My old ones were Kendas that came with the Superlight build kit. This inspires me to go immediately to my local bike shop (where Chris, who sold me the bike, agrees that the old ones suck - thanks a lot.) and pick up two new burly tires. MTB Werewolves - a 2.3 for the front and a 2.1 for the back.
I can't wait to take a spin on em later on. No more washing out, hopefully (assuming it wasn't rider error, which if very well could be).
One question - Will it make sense to swap out the old ones that are less burly for places like Moab?

If they have no tread left, use them on slickrock at Moab. If they just suck, get something else.

those wolves are gonna kill it on butcher. i just got two of the same for the new bike (which still isn't here yet). i went with 2.3 both front and rear cause the PNW can get pretty nasty. super excited to put em on the new rig when it gets here. tomorrow please?!
