I like David Lynch. I loved twin peaks and enjoyed blue velvet among others. I understand he's crazy, and dig the angelo balantini creepy music, but what the fruck is this movie about? Anyone? Bueller?

Hollywood conspiracies and power (an old tale). Crazy, wacko industry people. Oh, and lesbian sex.![]()

I don't know. I never got past the sweet lesbian scene.
Edit - Arty beat me to it. (No pun intended)

CantDog and Up and Down apparently were able to make sense of it after the lesbians, I however just remember the lesbians.
Look here for ramblings on about what it all means.

Why does the monster bum have control of the evil blue box which stole the blonde's purity and shrunk her grandparents and sent them to kill her? What kind of trouble do you think the fighting kangaroo that used to be in the courtyard used to cause? So many questions.
the movie was originaly a pilot for a new show, like TP, for ABC. they obviously wernt buying it, so he made some edits and released it as a full length.
there is much more to the story, a la dos peaks. if you had just seen the pilot for that without the rest of the series much of the symbology would make no sense.
this movie can represent a lot of different things imo. the symbolism is pretty strong, lots of forshadowing. no real answers.

That should absolve any questions.
I recommend Rabbits.

Most of the movie is a fantasy taking place in her head while she's stroking the kitty. When she's done masturbating, she awakes to her miserable life where the brunette isn't her mysterious, amnesiac, lesbo lover but a cold bitch superstar who probably let the blonde eat her out once or twice before ditching her for that guy. In the end her only truly pleasant memory, of that nice old couple, succumbs to her overwhelming depression and in a paranoid, delusional rage she blows her brains out.
The bum behind the Winkies is evil personified and controls everything.
The Cowboy is no one to fuck with.
That's my two cents.
