Dave from Brooklyn here. Just did my first day at Plattekill on Sunday. Great little hill despite the hardpack, definitely worth a trip when the snow gets deep.
Anybody thinking about a trip to MRG/Magic/someplace snowy?
I usually head up to magic when it's open and I've got the days off. Where in brooklyn are you?
I'm in Clinton Hill/Ft Greene. My only days off are those weekends the wife lets me off kid duty. BUT I have a car!
Crashed my car last weekend on the way up to Jay Peak so I'll be without wheels for the rest of the season. Anyone know of any bus trips...
In addition, I have a handfull of free lift tickets to Sugar Bush, a 2 for 1 to Sugarloaf, my cousin is one of the snow reporter at Stratton so I can get tickets and a place to crash there, trying to ski Mad River and Tuckerman's Ravine at some point too. If you have trips to any of these places I am happy to share gas, tolls and some of these tickets.
Cheers...
Headed to Jay for 3 days on Thursday night from NYC area, have room in our house. Email me for details. arvist at gmail dot com
what's up fellas - looking to make a weekend trip to mt washington sometime in april/may and gauging interest from other NYC mags. i gotta coordinate with some folk in Boston, but would love to have some company for the ride up if the logistics work out.
i live in harlem, FYI
holla
I'd be interested in going up Easter weekend.
I can't make it up easter weekend, but probably the next one. i'll keep you posted.
I just graduated college, I'm in the nyc area, will take trips whenever possible, have a Subaru wagon with a rocket box on top, that means me and 3 others, 4 if you wana pack in the back, Im more than happy to drive, if splitting gas isnt a problem with you and driving an occasional leg of the ride (have to drive manual) isn't a problem. As the season approaches I'm sure everyone will be in contact.

My carpool buddy just backed out of volunteering in the Catskills tomorrow morning to clean up Margaretville after Irene. If anyone wants to go, it should be an awesome (and dirty, hard working) day. Any interest here?

If I was at my NYC place i would be in. Hanging in VT crib and helping out here in the Wilmington area. Any mags in SoVT next weekend should check out Floodstock. Its a weekend charity bash benefiting the Mt Snow/Wilmington flood victims.

Living in BK (obviously) and looking for anyone who is ridin' the Bush this year. I bought the FOR20S pass and I'm looking for serious NYC Mags, especially those who like to tour. I have an AWD vehicle and I'm looking for touring partners or just a crew to ski with this winter. My best friend also has the Bush pass but he won't ski nearly as often as I. Anyone who got the FOR20S pass PM me. I'm looking to score at least 15 - 20 days at the Bush this year, so if you wanna ride and split gas costs w/ me give me a shout.
anyone heading to the MSP show this weekend (10/29)? beers beforehand?

hey SIB,
Feel free to send me a pm when you want to go up. I always like saving on gas even if I hate being stuck without a car when I get up. I ski at MRG since I'm not eligible for the 420 pass, but I might ski there a couple of times midweek.

I'm up for beers beforehand. Pretty hefty price for a movie ticket though.
SIB,
I have the For20s pass too up at the Bush this year. Sometimes I'll have space in my car on the way up but I live in Westchester. Every now and then I might be game to grab a ride, usually I go up with my gf and labrador but she probably won't ride a ton this year, final semester for her master's program and I'm looking to get some people to tour with this year.
Still some tickets left, I'm going, hopefully there'll be some free lift tickets being given away and such. I think they just keep upping the amount of tickets so I'm going to try and get there early.
