Alabama's winning(for now) so maybe we will get a reprieve this year. Although if his constant whining brings us a winter like last year then I guess I could put up with it.

I am starting to Jones pretty hard, but right now it is soooo nice outside and the leaves are absolutely going off and Joey is right....Bama is winning. I currently have bigger fish to fry! I have zero expectations that this winter will come close to being like last year, trying to prepare myself.

I remember a post you made after the dismal start last year saying that you'd be surprised if we got over 150 inches. I hope you're that pessimistic again.

Don't know about wicked base. There is grass showing at the base as of today. If it doesn't keep snowing, you'll have a wicked rotten layer to occupy your mind the rest of the season.

    any snow is good snow.

considering that RL has had a 12" base in February before. i would consider this year starting out great.

I sense the stoic resolve you displayed throughout the fall is starting wither.

Soon you'll be back to full fledged emo butthurt angst mode.

^^^ The last few days that map has started changing back to above normal precip, which means that the last few days of the forecast period (24-28) should be when we start seeing a more favorable pattern.

You raise an important question, however. Will montanaskier crack under the High Pressure before then?

    Hi, montanaskier.

I can feel it building inside me like the Hulk....don't make me angry Rontele...you wouldn't like me when I'm angry Rontele(I mean high pressure)

I'm skinning tomorrow so I'll be ok, seems like some others are more likely to crack before me this year. I was cranky last night however.

    montanaskier,

look at today's long-term forecasts and tell me you won't crack by the end of the month.
