I gotta agree with Cant. Spiderman's a SUPERHERO for fuck sake. Of course he's gonna beat the bad guy.
Besides, don't you know by now - rivers (or other big bodies of water) solve everything. This is a long standing truism in moviedom. Yep, just dump the problem into the river/lake/ocean and all your worries are over.
