First Fishing Trip - only...2 weeks!

I didn't want to hijack 45hill's thread, but I had to show off my little buddy Drake on his first fishing trip! Only two weeks old and already hitting Silver Creek with his dad!

No fish caught this time, but I'll add some stoke from earliet this year on Silver Creek (pre-kid). Caught on a size 12 black beattle. Deadly this time of year on the Creek!

Nice work. I see I'm not the only one who gets his flyline caught on their pants and shoes and shirt etc. A few more years and you'll have a fishing buddy for life. Nice fish by the way.

    Nice fish!

I've resorted to removing any foot ware while fishing unless i'm standing in the water...
Since then it's been a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages turn.

The things you find on the net.

    I miss browns....

But that pic is kind of funny. I didn't even notice him at first! I just thought you were just carrying some sort of feminine tackle bag.

My neice's first fishing trip is reserved for me come October once I get back to Colo for vacation. So excited.

Nice man, way to get after it with the little one. You just have to get out and do it. I got out on Rock Creek with one of the twins last week. As soon as he gets a little bit bigger, check out the Kelty Baby packs

I can't wait for the little bugger to be a bit bigger to fit into one of those Kelty packs. It was a bit strange casting with him on my front like that. Hence the awesome pant hook up with my fly line. Of course, I use that as an excuse as I'm always hooking my line on something.
I hit the Wood River in town yesterday for 45 minutes while Drake slept... Not much, but had a giant rainbow chase my dragging hopper for about 8 feet. I was wild. It's nose was about 1 inch behind the fly and making a giant wake. If I would have mended just a hair more I should have had him! Needless to say, I know where he is now... and I'll be back to get him soon!
