I thought I'd add my experiences. My bro and I dropped in on Bill's offices in Nelson and met the man in person. Firstly, he hands over a copy and then says "Oh wait, there is two of you, have another copy". We then mentioned we had seen his surfing flick Pororoca on TV in Australia, and next thing he is diving into boxes and pulls out a third DVD for us to have. We gave him some extra to cover the free surfing flick, he willingly answered our questions on his studio equipment.

We are huge fans of Ski Your Ass Off, which we also have on VHS. No other guy can have done as much to help spread the stoke on his home hill, Whitewater, as Bill has done. Except Powderpyg and D. Heath of course ...

True that. I'd also wager that he's getting a ton of business due to the general kick-assedness of the film. And the multi-layered appeal. I've shown it to many non-winter-sports-enthusiasts and they all seem to like it. On a whim I left it on the kitchen table this past weekend and suggested a viewing to the person coming in to feed my cat. She really enjoyed it and plans on ordering a copy of Sinners for her friend and a copy of Porocora (sp?) for her brother. Good work, Bill.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and it's got to be the music (and the cinematography)),

Looking forward to getting mine!! Just ordered the boxset having watched the trailer.

Is it all filmed at Whitewater or in the Nelson area?

Yup, both are filmed at Whitewater and in the backcountry surrounding it. Except for the scenes in Ski Your Ass Off 2 where they're walking around downtown Nelson in ponchos.

Hey!!!! Those toques were all the rage back in the day . How do you think that scene were the dude comes flyin of the bump in the trees, eats shyte, tumbles, then slides by the camera in the sluff with the googles hangin off that very 3-lb beanie, would have turned out. That dude also happens to be your very own Powderpyg!

Yuppers, that's not my only claim to fame in "Your Ass Off". Let's see if you can pick out that unmistakable "up periscope" pole style in there. Hint: I'm either in red or navy blue and the toque should help. Ahhhh...those were the dayz, when the knees would let me giver all day, all of the time...sigh.
