I did the MS Ride yesterday

I made the drive to beautiful Cache valley yesterday for the MS 150 Bike Tour through Logan. I was thrilled to be on the bike for the first time this year and - other than my now swollen and painful wrist - actually felt pretty decent after a 75 mile ride. The jury is still out on whether I should have ridden or not, but there is no arguing that the ride was good for my head.

My bib number was 30. Amazingly enough, out of more the 1400 riders last year, I was ranked thirtieth among all fund-raisers. I'm still waiting on a few donations, so I don't know the final tally just yet; but, it looks like I'll have about $2000 in donations this year. I did miss my $3500 goal, but two grand isn't too shabby.

Hopefully, yesterday was the start of my riding season.

Congrats on that. Hope you heal well enough to ride in the mountains.

I don't know if my othopedist agrees with you, but my physical therapist does. Although, my therapist also said that riding 30-40 miles a day three to four days a week is pushing it.

Man it felt great to be on the bike, but I think I'll be starting with shorter rides every other day for a little while. The mountain bike isn't even an option . . . . yet.

    Thanks for the encouragement.
