The fishing slowed down with the water coming up and lots of pressure. There was a huge influx of people last weekend. F&G creel counts should be out later today on their website. All you can do is keep casting and hope that the fish adjust and turn on again.

Hmmm. Next time, huh? Do you ever go up and fish between Salmon and Challis? If so, what time of year do you 'usually' go up there?

FYI - went to the Creek for an hour yesterday. The fishing got hot right at 1PM with Mohogany Duns everwhere and every big fish looking up.

I've only fished between Stanley and Challis late winter. It's been a few years.
I don't know but would guess those fish should be headed past Salmon soon. Did see a few guys fishing there on the way home last Friday.

    tug and tangle 4 Tap

Tap brings the skills. I've seen him get into a Steelhead everytime He puts his line in the water. That sandbagger claims He is just getting lucky but I think He's in the swing of things. photo below is fuzzy from the fierce fightin'

mornings are colder, don't need to be out there at daybreak, but the steelhead are grabbing the fly. Best catch rates of the season.
