    40D vs. XSi

I got the option to get either one of those and can't decide if it's worth it to go 40d or not. i'm having a hard time thinking if the 6.5 fps is worth it over the 3.5. post your biased opinions.

Upgraded from Xti to 40d. Couldn't ever go back. Love the build, stability, quiet and subtle shutter action, speed, and controls over the Xti. Xsi could be different, but that's my biased opinion.

Get the 40d. If you plan to shoot anything that moves the difference between 3.5 and 6.5 fps is HUDGE.

    40D, hands down.

Isn't the sensor considerably better too?

ditto to what Squirel said. I also did the upgrade to the 40D from the XTi and I love the 40D and it seems like I'm getting better quality picts

There is like a thousand threads covering this topic on the intraweb. I know because I spent an entire evening reading them. Summary: If you need to take pictures of things moving fast in low light get the 40D.

The 40D had ten megapixel sensors - XSi adds two to that in the Megapixel race. Features are good but I think there is difference of shooting 3.5 fps to 6.5 fps. Now it depends upon you what you are going to decide which one is better 3.5 fps or 6.5 fps..

the XSi is still a good camera though, with more than enough for a lot of people. again, the fps is a nice feature on the 40D it is very noticable when trying to shoot something moving.
Another benefit to the XSi is the smaller size. A little less weight in the pack can go a long way too.
But if I had the money, I would go 40D also.

Good choice. I have an XTi, and I love it, but more camera like the 40D would be nice.
