PM GEAR ski - topsheet designs (Vote!)

Ok, we've narrowed down the topsheet design for PM GEAR's first ski to several different options. Please vote for your favorite. We can't guarantee your votes will choose the winner, but they will play a role in our decision process. If anyone has comments or suggestions, please voice 'em.

Thanks so much to the Drugged Monkey for his kickass contributions. His input and creativity are, as always, deeply appreciated.

ALSO - we're still open to considering totally new deisgns. If you've got one, post it!

Now, for the designs (name of ski - vote #)

By the way, if you're not seeing the FKNA on these skis (some of them), you're not looking hard enough or you're looking too hard.

As usual, no offense to anyone, but I wouldn't own a ski that said Zen in giganto letters. Maybe I'm just over-exposed to it in quasi-asian Seattle, but it seems like a dead trend from the 90's.

#1 color 2 rocks. Very nice indeed.

They all blow away any graphics currently on the market. Gotta go with the Black FKNA!

    Number 5 is awesome.

I have a few mates in Oz that are keen as for these skis.

    Lightbulb

I Heart PMGear, but I don't dig big ass URLs in bright white letters on my skis, especially when it already says PMGear in bright white letters on the tip.

The ginormous FKNA is great. Does that create a possible problem down the road now that you have effectively created a Right and Left ski, (with warranties, or something?) <-- I'm thinking out of the box and my ass on that one.

Am I missing something here? Skis 2 and 3 seem to be identical. It strikes me as highly unlikely that Twoplanker and the monkey would design identical skis, even if they were drinking from the same water bottle.

Take out the blotchy shit in the backround of number one. It doesn't give a very peaceful vibe. If you must add somthing in the backround, make it pinstripes....
    No.

Well, I understand that concern on your part, phunk but with a limited advertising budgie, it was a way to get the word out on our site. (hang on, I'm putting on my JL face) If it's too tacky, I'll put duct tape over it for your pair.

Just kidding, we can drop it if it is too tacky.

The first ones look like Salomons IMHO, that's why I voted for number 5

#5 is sick (got my vote), but the url need to be modified. What if you took the logo off the tip, ditched the url in the middle and moved it to the tail a la #2, & 3? Move FKNA forward if needed. Use the FKNA grey and/or 'model' blue for the logo/url. How's about that?

edit: and yeah, #1 does look like a sillymon, though much sweeter
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

To be 100% completely honest...I wouldn't let any of those skis touch my boots. I think the first round got nudered and it's obvious in these. You can dismiss my criticisms saying I'm close to the project, but looking at the first round to the second round looks like a giant step backwards. Trust me. I do this for a living. Not a hobby. Blue Bomber owns in my book.

Love number 5. Very stealthy. I like stealthy things.

Like the blue bomber ski graphics and concept, but the blue is too pale and weak. Need something more bold. And stealthy. Think ninja kick your mom in the head stealth. We've got planes, bombs and FKNA. Think back to hiroshima and b29's. Lots of surprise.

Jared, I took you for more than a topsheet skier.
I understand your apparent consternation, but while I was watching Something About Mary at Kate's last night, the PMG crew was busy brainstorming about endless business issues. And 2P offered up his designs. That last ski is cool for me in that the 00's and 01's and the camo FKNA represent so much about maggots. I know I have always treated you with the utmost respect and been your staunch defender on similar issues, so I apologize if this offends you. But things have a way of working out.

I would've taken the blue bomber over any of those. I'm not saying I don't like any of those, I just like the Bomber best.
(I still voted, just wanted to voice an opinion.)
