    Kirkwood Pass In Hand!!!

Yesterday I got a note in my mailbox saying I had a piece of certified mail. Well it's always exciting to get certified mail, but it's even more exciting when it includes a brand new shiny Kirkwood Unlimited Pass!!!! Too bad they stretched my picture and made me look ridiculously fat. Anyways, this is my first season pass of many to come and I'm just freakin' stoked. 37 days until opening!!!

pfft. Ty, you know just as well as I that they won't have sentinal open for the first chair. It's gonna be the blitzkrieg down Monties 2 times before you can even think about heading toward Sentinal. But damn, first 11's in Sentinal bring good thoughts...

    Is it snowing yet?

Shit. I'm going to Once is Enough first. I have no idea what my first run will be, but it's going to be a good one. Is there anything better than that first time you click into your bindings and then awkwardly go down the mountain while trying to remember how you do this weird sport your obsessed with.

It's not that hard at all, it's not a huge palce, but it does have a lot of nooks and crannies that you can never stop exploring and finding new creative lines in as the snow rises/falls.

I still remember my first day at KW. hell i better it was only 2 years ago. First person I rode the lift with I asked 'em if they knew were Heart Chute was I never even made over to the backside that day....exploring the little corner I found was heaven when I realized that 2 weeks prior I was in PA....you'll see what I mean

Sounds awesome! Yeah I can't wait to learn those little nooks and crannies, not necessarily stashes but fun little sections that take some exploration to find. I guess the exploration is half the fun though so I got a full year of it ahead of me.

I'll be out there in like 20 days. Are you going over to the Sac Ski/Snowbrd expo the second weekend of Nov.? Have you gone, is it worth it?

I'm jonesing hard. I must ski.

Only three weeks to opening at Mammoth.....We'll see what they open with though....

edit: what's wrong with me? The thought of alcohol still turns my stomach and it's been 4 days since my "incident."

I still want to know what bench in downtown Davis I was sitting on though.

Normally that's a good thing. But in this case you want to know what it is so you can avoid it like the plague.

As for getting to know Kirkwood, you've just got to sack up and get change for a nickle. Like Ty, I started skiing there 2 years ago and was pretty happy with the handful of days I spent there. I thought I had the place all staked out with my own cool little stashes...then last year I met up with these nutjobs and discovered just how limited my view of the world was.

Edit: Frack! You guys are fast!
