    newbie Front Range question

By stroke of luck I just had a couple of kayaks and gear fall into my lap and wanna get out there, but I'm new to the front range and have no idea where to go....I decided to turn to you guys..

I'm looking for easier stuff to start off then work my way up. I used to canoe and kayak back east a little bit so I'm not a complete jong, but I'm by no means good by your standards I'm sure...

So the question: where should I go ( I live in Denver so within a couple of hours would be nice and put in take out locals would be a huge help) to have a little fun (not a snoozer) and not have to worry about entering a IV or V around a blind corner?...Thanks in advance for the help..

Clear Creek above the canyon could be fun. Steady flow and nothing dangerous.

What about that beauty of a run behind REI?

Your season is pretty much over down there so I don't think you'll find a whole lot. I'll state the obvious and recommend you buy the guidebook.
