Hey all,
Hope your summers are progressing satisfactorily.
I'm looking for help on deciding what to purchase in a TV to also use as a computer monitor for my Macbook Pro. I plan to play DVD's on my Mac through it for movies, watch some TV (like when the ankle-biters throw me out of the living room or vice-versa) on it and use it as an auxiliary monitor when I'm working on something I'd like to see in a larger size than my 15 inch screen.
It's for a smallish (10x12-ish) office type room, so I think about a 22" screen is about the largest I would get and 19" the smallest. Id like to wall-mount it with a full motion mount so it can be viewed from my desk for monitor use or flat against the wall for TV/movie viewing from across the room.
I'd like it to be HD ready and have a good picture for both monitor and TV use and have been advised that the way to go is a TV with PC inputs as opposed to a monitor with a TV tuner. Is there really any difference?
I'd also like to do it without spending a shit-ton of money so maybe under $500?
Searching the web for reviews generates an overwhelming array of information and I trust you knuckleheads more anyway.
I thank you in advance for your wisdom and experiential advice.
