    time lapse tips

I have a canon powershot s3is. I was wondering if anyone knows of any tips on getting nice time lapse shots with using a p&s camera. I have a 35mm slr also, and I find that I can get better shots with that then my p&s.

I try to set an appropriate time interval to match the motion I'm going to capture. If I don't know, I'll take some test shots at different time intervals and see how the changes look from frame to frame. For instance, if the clouds are slowly floating by, I'll increase the amount of time between shots.

Once I have the shots, I'll load them into lightroom and edit one of them to my liking, then batch process (Sync) all the others to match the edit.

I came across this yesterday and thought it was pretty cool.
