    Mount Democrat, 6-9-04

Party: Billow, duph, SheRa & Winter

Ascent: From Kite Lake in Buckskin Gulch

Descent: From about 14,000' down the north face to about 11,600' (counting the runout) in Platte Gulch. Then a good slog to the dropped car at Montgomery reservoir.

This is how it looked from the Fletcher Mountain area on June 13th:

We skied the big snowfield down through the choked up line. Great run.

I'm surprised Mr_Gyptian hasn't chimed in to bitch about the name of the place yet.

    Nice pictures.

And to think, I'm happy to get OFF of snow when summer time comes. Something about shorts and sandals that is so . . . liberating.

I'll summer ski vicariously through all of the fiends until November.

I think you need to buy some skis for your dog. You should give my uncle in Denver a call he built some skis for Spuds MacKenzie for his Bud Light commercials.

Skiing in Summer is cool but a dog skiing in Summer would be really cool.

Thanks for getting those pictures up, duph. Cool day.

Sometimes you get these things just stuck in your head and skiing up above Montgomery Reservoir had gotten like that for me. Check.
