    He really is.
His new family just lost a cat, and the dog was so devastated by it they just knew they needed another cat for him. Once they saw how well Dan and our girl Lou interacted together, they were positive he was the one for them.
He would have stayed with us, but Jben wasn’t having another male cat in the house.

I’m a soft touch. I started ordering cat food from Chewy and I’m feeding two feral cats. This one is no longer afraid of me. Might be becoming dependent. You know how they are. Here’s the big one

    This... is fucking great!

    Super strong work mag.

Taking in that little buddy, having to chill out Jben while he was in house, setting him up in a home that outright needed him.

    Big respeks to you CA.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

The same cat was standing at the slider waiting this morning about 5 am. He has me figured out. I don’t mind. But I am going to be traveling now and then. They won’t be getting fed by me. I’m not getting pinned down again

Seems like these days there must be a chip activated outdoor feeder, since there's one for cat doors.

    ^^^^ truest truth about cats.

Ms Boissal caught a video of Ugly chasing a toy mouse for a solid 5 minutes this weekend. This morning he was sitting not far from the mouse so I kicked it in his general direction. He took off like I was throwing a flaming knife at him... I'm sure at some point today he'll have a grand old time batting a empty can of his food all the way around the house, it's his go-to 3AM activity these days.

Here is outside cat number two. I see this one every other day but I think it eats every day? Very skittish but came right up to me as I put down the food
Interesting color. Black but lots of calico brown mixed in

I find it amazing that these cats survived this past winter even with everyone gone for days at a time. Tough cats

Would be cool to catch them and get them to a vet for shots, fixing, etc.

I think people here trap feral cats for neutering - catch and release. I’ve wondered 1) how the cats feel about it, and 2) how the vet staff feels about getting a pissed-off cat to be anesthesized(sp?) and go thru recovery.

When a cat decides you're not acting in it's best interests, ya better be wearing' kevlar.

One of my fonder memories was calling out an academic vet on administering an anesthetic to a cat by rubbing it on the cat's gums. He actually thought, apparently never having worked with cats, that it would be easy. The entire group I was sitting with pointed at him and laughed.

They sedate them through the cage so they can get them out to work on.

With an injection? Sub-cutaneous? I figured it must be something like that, but it seems problematic.

Good way to loose a finger. What a moran. Obviously I'm proposing a live trap and a poke to make it not bite you.
