Nelson/Golden is Public Enemy #1 for me as soon as Canada no longer considers me a felon.
Jackson on a day when the perfect storm is not hitting the mountain. I'm 0 for 2.

My hit list is varied and includes some other places not listed here. However there are a few that I must hit up this year. These are:
1. Alta/Snowbasin - I had the BEST F-ING time there during this year's Mini. Like the swallows returning to Capistrano or the IRS bleeding me dry, I must make a Utah trip happen every year until I die.
2. Europe. Somewhere, anywhere. Bad_roo and brownmonkey - I'm heading your way for a EuroMini (if my wallet says it's ok, that is...) I'm not sure I'd even want to go unless I knew you two yahoos were around!![]()
3. The cute girl with the lisp that works at the pizza place in town... oh wait.. are we strictly talking about skiing?
Yo Mama
Cham
NZ when my wife gets pregnant again.
Rootsey Resorts North West of Milan. Fly in for a long weekend slaughter.
Hell...i just want to get off the east coast one day and get out west...never been and its calling me. And also we would love to get to South America too...11 yr old son is always drooling all over the keyboard looking at pics of Portillo and Las Lenas...anyone want him??![]()
Snow?
Jackson ( I know its close, dont askme why. there was a whole list made for me on some skiing board somewhere as to why I had not been)
Silverton, planned & reneged with folks here & elsewhere about 7 times so far.
Next winter:
Back to La Grave
Alagna (never been)
Norway again in summer if I am not too worked/poor
Beyond next winter:
PNW (want to know what everyone here is talking about)
Tahoe (ditto)
Durango-Silverton area (uncle has a place there - might need "house-sitting" sometime)
Manali
Hokkaido
1. Anywhere out west
2. Snowfields at the loaf in fresh pow early
3. Tramline at cannon
Never been, want badly:
Solitude - next year.
Chamonix - within 5 years.
The Queyras within 5 years.
Craigieburn/Broken River - within 10 years.

hopefully somewhere in sa this summer, but that $ would prolly be better spent funding the majority of my winter ski fund.
Yogachica: I've been to Cortina d'Ampezzo which is in the Dolomites. It does not suck, but may be a little too "civilized" for some on this board. Definately not in the LaGrave league.
Buster: the only reason to go to Kitzbühel is for a little DH race they have there annually...Bring your cowbell - and yes, size DOES matter. You've never seen a party like that in a ski town. The skiing is ...MEH. A little low and small compared to the neighbors. Take the short drive to "Zell's" instead (Zell am See and Zell am Ziller) or go to Kirchberg.
My gotta hit areas:
US:
-JH/Targhee
-Mammy/Tahoe/
-Brighton/Solitude/Snowbasin
-AK when I win the lottery
Canada:
-Anywhere in BC and Alberta NOT called "Whistler/Blackcomb" - I've been there twice in the last 5 years.
Europe:
-St. Anton before they close the OB
-Val D'Isere
-Trois Vallees
-Verbier
-Zermatt/Cervinia/Courmayeur
Also, that place in the Caucasus (Krasnaya Polyana?) that was featured in one of last season's POWDER mags was unfuckingbelievable. That'd be in the "far future" category.

Hey Buster, move this up on your list to within 3 years. The terrain and vibe is better than you can possibly imagine, espically on a powder day. Remember to bring a hiking partner and all your bc gear so you can get to the really sick terrain.Originally posted by Buster Highmen
Never been, want badly:
Craigieburn/Broken River - within 10 years.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

What's very much on my mind is putting together a list of places that I can ski in the backcountry all winter long. Of the places I haven't been already, east Vail.
Oh, and Utah powder calls...
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

1. Alps
2. Silverton
3. SA
4. New Zealand
5. Japan
Have been, but will return this year:
Crystal (most weekends)
AK
Nelson/Whitewater
Alaska

Silverton
Most like done in reverse order.
Realistically speaking, next year I hope to explore the Wasatch back country with some of you TGR folks. And a trip to Silverton is definitely on my 2004/2005 list.

Is Idaho in PNW
I hate that term though because BC always gets lumped into the PNW. It doesn't mean anything to people in western Canada.
