Just got back from riding. Must drink magic protien recovery drink..... then have beer.
I think I'm going mad.
I just got back from a 68 mile road race, start/finish@9,800', 7500' of climbing over the 68 miles, I was with the leaders until a few miles from the finish, but the legs began to shut down, I ended up with 8th place in the 3/4s. Since the race I have ingested an ice cream cone, 2 mt dews, chips, dried fruit, protein drink, 2 fat tires, 2 slices pizza and 1 johnnie walker rocks...Originally posted by p-tex

Artie - Very COOL!!!! Congrats on the solid finish!!
If you find yourself in Boulder, we should hook up for a road ride.

Nice arty!
I ran around the neighborhood, jumped a few ledges and drop offs, worked on my flatland tailwhips, and got used to being back on my bike after an equipment manufactured hiatus.
Now back to more of the same......
Still not wearing any spandex, but I do have some propel fitness water on me.....
Thanks p-tex, I just upgraded to 3 two weeks ago, I got 8th in the NM State RR Cat 3 last week. I almost did the Sara Kay race in Golden on 6/12 but my plans changed. Right now I am in training mode for Mt Evans 7/24, Mt Evans is a great race/ride.Originally posted by p-tex

Thanks Odin, I was wearing Spandex today, it accentuates the junk, though I did not have any propel. My MTB is getting dusty and I live in a pretty good area for MTBing. My resolution for the remainder of the year is to get some more dirt time in.![]()
Really? I heard it sucks, and all the pros only live there because they enjoy living in a town where it's a pain in the ass to fly out to World Cups and NORBA's every weekendOriginally posted by Artie Fufkin

So far this year I have been dropped by Tom Danielson, his fiance Kristin Johnson, Ned Overend, Frank Mapel and an assortment of MTB pros, I have not been dropped by Todd Wells yet because he has been doing the World Cup.Originally posted by Plakespear

I used to pick up Velo News when I was in high school living in Cleveland, OH and read about riders like Ned, Bart Bowen, etc , and since I moved out west in 1996 they are the people that I ride and race with(and get dropped by).![]()
about to take my new bike (and my legs) for their first urban spin of the year. so nervous but so excited.![]()

I'm looking into riding the Mt. Evans race but more as a checkmark on my rides to do list rather than any competitive finish type of thing, but you never know.....
Spandex will be worn!![]()

I can't wait to get a road bike! No complaints about my Tomac mountain bike, but sometimes it'd be sweet just to go haul ass and do some huge road rides. hopefully by next spring i'll have a nice little trek.
