    Lightning

So did any one check out the very cool storm last night. It formed right over Snoqualmie pass and drifted west (Seattle).

I know it probably was not much for the mid-westerners out there, but for Seattle the lightning was very impressive, so was the random downpour.

As I sat out on my deck and watched the thing get bigger and closer all I could think of was the scene in Independence Day.

Is that a reference to their meeting with the Habs this spring? Bastard.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and non-hockey related lightning is cool),

Carnation got whacked hard. Midnight brought shivering cats and a kid with pillows clamped over ears. It poured and hailed.

My wife and I watched from our house last night from around 10:00 to 11:00 or a little later. We have a good view of the Cascades directly to the east and the lightning was continuous and impressive. The strange thing is I never heard any thunder.

It seems like what we usually get from a thunderstorm in Seattle is one flash of lightning and a loud boom, then that's it! As a transplanted Midwesterner it ws cool to see a nice thunderstorm again.

Musta been like 1 or 2 in the morning when it got here just flash flash. It was bright though. Lit up the whole sky. No thunder either. Then it started pouting and the wind sent it right though my window. I was pissed. My computer doesn't have side panels on it.
