Soon. It's a 19ft sailboat down in SE Mass (Marion)...when I was driving the launch down there, I'd see guys come back with huge blues they'd just caught. I need to get some local knowledge on the waters down there...I'm up for it.

Yeah, Base, I guess I'm not probably just not up there enough to get sick of it. But the Whin-ahhh line can be wicked funny kid.

Vinz, what happened to your boat? Still got it?

seriously, the only options are wers, npr, or eei. the rest of it just sucks. i'm convinced thats why people convert to talk radio. less talking than on the music stations.

and i think we should have a maggot stripah slaying festivus. get in bills wahlah and 365's (what kind of boat is it?) and have a stripah battle. most chum wins!!!

edit: missed page too here. 19footers are nice. my company races rows 19's at coragous sailing center in charelstown once a week. supah fun out theah in tha hahbah

Yeah, wicked bad. It's nice to have the college stations...went from having three ClearChannel stations on my radio in CO to none here. Miss 89.3 (the Jazz Oasis), though.

Sweet...lemme know if you need crew. I was doing a little J/24 frostbiting out of Boston Sailing Center about five years ago.

yeah my parent's boat partners were from Chicago and kept the boat in Marblehead so obviously the Chicago folk only got about 1 week a year out of it. They decided it wasn't worth the $$ so they wanted to sell. Which is a huge bust because now I gotta rely on a guy who owns a landscaping company to go out fishing on the water and he works alot of weekends the bastard.

Oh I should include that last summer at the beginning of a 2 week vacation, the second week of which the Chicago people were in town....yeah...I went between Tinker's island and Marblehead Neck, which I've done a thousand times, and managed to find out that there's a shipwreck down there. Bent the shit out of the prop. I got that replaced and then found out that I had bent the driveshaft. Got that fixed and then had to replace a fuel pump which took me about 2 days to figure out which pump it was and finally ended up replacing all 4 of the pumps. Suffice to say, the Chicago people were PISSED about no boat.

Did ALOT of sailing as a youth, I'm into sailing. Never done much fishing off a sailboat but I bet we can troll like hell off the thing! I'll win the chum comp. I got the ultimate chum system.

I decided to put my money where my mouth is and ask Nik to quit talking over the music. Here's his response:

well, jmo, unfortunately that is essentially what they pay me for! I mean every DJ on every station does that, every station, every DJ on my station as well so that's it.

    Thanx for the email though

    Nik

edit: its really a boat, not a bout. but we come out with our fists up, thats for damn sure

Ugh. When I was driving I managed to "find" a rock with one of the launches...seized the engine. The launch had just been rebuilt...was a beautiful 25ft. Concordia or Egg Harbor, forget which. That sucked almost as much as the time the kid at the fuel dock handed me the gas hose (instead of diesel) and I didn't think to check...or the time the brand new VHF radio clip broke and it went in the drink. The time my buddy and I "borrowed" a boat from the marina we were working at and I just missed hitting an uncharted rock at 25kts at night makes up for all the bad luck, though...that would have been really bad.

Excellent! I can't fish for a damn...all I've caught on the few times I've tried were clownfish (fun to unhook) and flounder. Want to learn.
