Boston/EC mags, SICK SICK show in August

    Check THIS out:

    http://www.fleetbostonpavilion.com/d...vent_id=202521

Toots, Common, Kymani, Stephen, Julian and Ziggy Marley and Slightly Stoopid.

    Frickin SCHWEET!!!!

quick side story: I met Robert "The Chief" Parish at a P-Funk All Stars show at the Fleet Pavilion when it was next to the courthouse a few years ago. DAMN that motherfucker's tall!!!

Anyways, this show should be the balls. Toots puts on a hell of a show for 63 year old 5' 6" little Jamaican man.

it has already been discussed amongst my usual group of good-for-nothings and roustabouts, and attendance has been deemed mandatory.

when do tix go on sale?

    edit: on sale now.

also edit: i was recently pm-ing iwth a new boston magnion transplant (365wp), and it was decided that we should have an 'internet ski dorks get drunk' event. my vote is for the landing on long wharf. fishbowls full of rum, sitting outside on the water, if we're lucky they play lots of old school bob marley. if we're unlucky they'll play the top gun soundtrack.

bill, since november everytime i leave my apartment i have to read the sign over my front door. it reads: no scorpion bowls, no fighting. dont make me brake the rules mang.

i like toots alot, but honestly, after seeing him every year for the last five, i think he's going down hill. although the paradise last year was pretty good. john Macenroe bought me a beer.

(robert parish dish) i went to school with bill waltons kid, yes the one on the lakers and his two older bros, parish was good buds with bill and used to show at all the b-day parties and stuff. so did DJ. so fun playing tree on three with the two walton boys against their dad, parish and dj. we were in third grade, luke was younger, so we didnt match up too well.

first time i ever smelled the reefer was at the walton home, guess who was over watching greatfull dead videos with billy?

solid solid plan. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to this gig. Kymani Marley is pretty sweet.

those fishbowl scorpion bowls are a good time at the Landing...but I'd like to bring up a point I feel is valid. Is the scorpion bowl a beverage that IS or IS NOT supposed to be consumed in "race" fashion? I'm a firm believer that if you are going scorpion bowl, you have to order at least 2, or split up into teams and see who can drink the fastest. That wonderful heady mix of 41 different kinds of booze all attacking your liver and stomach lining at the same time just can't be beat. Especially when you are friggin cocked like....10 minutes later.

    Scorpion bowls...good times buddehs...good times...

on my birthday bill bought $80 os scorpion bowls. it was a race, each guy had one to himself. i dont remember anything after that, and i woke up covered in my own blood.

no scorpion bowls ; no fighting
however, rules are ment to be broken.

if the scorpion bowl has a flaming center, it should be raced.

otherwise, it's not that kind of establishment, and racing can lead to your party getting cut off and having to throw tables in order to express your disappointment at getting cut off.

and the fishbowls at the landing are not technically scorpion bowls, but i would race one. watch out for brainfreeze though.

actually it was brad that got stuck with that bill for 3 fuckin scorpion bowls.

not that there wasnt' $25 worth of booze in each.

ugh. that night went downhill really quickly, about the time you speared brad into the newspaper vending machines at downtown crossing, then said something to the effect of 'who else wants some' to a group of eight 275lb meatheads wearing wifebeaters in november. glad we got out of that one with all of our teeth.

so: no base, some rules are not meant to be broken.

Ay mon, the rockers. Best radio show in town hands down.

They do sometimes play some dance-hall type stuff that I don't really like. But what other station can you call and request the like 25 minute live version of Tosh doing "Buckingham Palace" and they play it 10 minutes later? Friggin sweet yo!

glen is the best at the buisness for sure. but imo those guys are too big around here, like their word is bond. its funny sometimes, but gets really old if you listen every day. i still tune in all the time to hear interviews with the owners and stuff, and the winer line can be very funny. but i get a little annoyed by them.

uhhhh somebody just "boat goes in the water soon". When do you plan on taking me fishing? I can cut bait, clean fish, untangle birdnested fishing line, make excellent chum with my Chum Buddy system, drink twice my weight in beers, tie a bowline, a 1/2 hitch, a figure-eight knot and cleat a line like a bastard!!!!!!!

I'm a big fan of the Rockers show. And I'm getting to the point where I'd rather listen to the sound of traffic than Nik Carter on BCN. Could someone please tell him to stop talking nonsense over all the music?
