Anyone going to the Surfrider 20th Gala?

Anyone heading the Surfrider Foundation 20th Anniversary Gala Thursday (6/17) night?

Sounds like a great benefit - Tom Curran, Jack Johnson, Perry Farrell, tons of vintage boards to bid on in a silent auction.

i need to clone myself so I can be there and help put on an event that I'm supposed to do here in SF tomorrow night....

if anyone goes, I want pix!

Surfrider has done some good but they are kinda like the Sierra Club at times, picking and choosing their own agenda.
Pratts Reef, failure. Too worried about sand migration to take a clue from the Superbank in Australia.
Support a total pan of PWC's at Mavericks(your home WSD?) and misleading the public with statements like " there are upwards of 200 PWC's on any given weekend in the Marine Sanctuary"
Although it does sound like it would be a fun event w/ that guest list!

Yeah, but they are probably one of the most successful environmewntal orgs out there, especially given their size.
